Background

Get Set & Go!(Australia)  has been providing with quality physical education, aquatic & recreation services since 1993.

The business was founded when she observed that many children did not participate in sport or recreation due to an earlier negative experience. GSG ensures all experiences are positive, promoting participation for all children in a non-threatening & co-operative environment. 

Objectives

Get Set & Go! (GSG) aims to promote participation for all children in a non-threatening & co-operative environment.  

GSG is recognised for their staff committment, professionalism and genuine interest in each child's development & psychological well-being.

Get Set & Go! (Australia) aims to promote & encourage:

  • participation for all children
  • positive sporting & recreational interactions
  • de-emphasis of a 'win at all costs' attitude
  • modified activity to accommodate varying ages & abilities
  • lifelong activity for all ages
  • individual instruction
  • increased confidence
  • small learning groups

Staff

All services are conducted by qualified and registered  Physical Education teachers & student teachers with appropriate swim coaching qualifications, senior first aid & resuscitation certificates, and QLD Government CCYP 'Suitability' Cards.

Co-ordinator
Sue Ward is a qualified and registered Physical Education teacher (BHMS, Dip. T(Prim)).  

Sue Ward's 'hands on ' approach is instrumental in the co-ordination, implementation & evaluation of all programs, ensuring the aims & objectives of GSG are met.
